What is wrong with the text, and why would your suggested improvement be better?
Without the preposition it makes rojo an adjective connected to the flag which in that case should be la bandera roja to match gender. But since rojo is the team name (team red) it should be la bandera de Rojo (the flag of Red or Red’s flag) because without the preposition it’s an adjective and is also wrong. Or if not the preposition, change it to roja to match gender
