Build Battle 🛠️ : Placeable NPCs

This post suggests a new feature, which can give life to builds and help builders tell stories.


How will the Placeable NPCs work :red_question_mark:

The placeable NPCs can be found within the creative inventory. These NPCs are stationary and can face different directions. When placed, a player can click the NPC to open a menu wherein they can select its size, model, effects, and pose.

When the menu is opened for the first time, it will automatically move to the next attribute to make the process faster.

Moreover, a player can change one of the attributes by clicking the NPC once more. This time, the player can select which attribute to change.

Additionally, the NPC will be under the entity limit to reduce lag.


ATTRIBUTES :gear:

There will be a search bar for each of the attributes to save time.

Sizes :straight_ruler:

  • Mini (Half a block tall)
  • Medium (Player height)
  • Large (4 blocks tall)

Models :bust_in_silhouette:

A player can select their own skin or use premade models.

Effects :sparkles:

Once again, to reduce lag, the effects will be moderated.

  • Soul Sand particles
  • Smoke particles

Poses :waving_hand:

  • Flying
  • Falling
  • Sitting
  • Standing
  • Laying down
  • laying down flat

  • Walking
  • Dancing
  • Pointing
  • Waving
  • Raised Hands

*Perhaps a 10% chance for the NPCs to be left-handed? And an even more rare chance for it to be ambidextrous?

And why is that bad?
