As of writing this, I am level 20 at Bridge and have played almost if not a thousand games, I’m not actually sure.
While I love the game, it’s gotten a little annoying to see leap users breeze by as I use Golden Apples or Snowballs to make the game more challenging. Now I know, yeah, whatever, skill issue, but after playing this game for so long, I have some suggestions regarding the special items to improve them with an overhaul.
The thing that would change the most is that they would not be called special items anymore, instead, they’d be called “Kits”, similar to Skywars Kits. This is almost purely and aesthetic change but it also so players can choose their kits in the Hub like Skywars Kits. I suspect them being “special items” is one of the reasons you can’t currently do this. Below will be explained the new/overhauled special items/kits.
Baller Kit: This kit is based on the Snowballs Special Items from the Bridge currently. The player with this kit would have access to four Snowballs and a Punch I Bow (that recharges at the same speed or slower than the bow currently). I am less inclined to include the bow, so the main focus on this Kit are the Snowballs.
Bouncer Kit: This kit is replacing the leap special item as the main offensive item, and features an existing Hive item, that being one from Block Party, the Instant Jump Boost potion. It is upward momentum instead of the horizontal of the leap. Additionally but optionally, I believe this kit could have a weaker pickaxe to compensate for the fact that it is still pretty good, and it could encourage use of it in sub-optimal positions.
Breaker Kit: This kit is replacing but has nothing to do with the Golden Apples Special Item. This gives you one Block Breaking Boombox, similar or identical to the one that is in Treasure Wars CSes. It would allow for player placed blocks to be destroyed which could aid the user in breaking through defenses or demolishing player made bridges. I suspect that this one will be used the least, but it is still useful enough.
I just noticed that I made all the kits’ names start with a B, which I guess fits in with the Bridge.
The Golden Apples won’t disappear, though, instead, they’ll just become a normal inventory item like the pickaxe or the bow.
Finally, you can also choose to have no kit if it pleases you.
