Hear me out, I think it would be really cool if Block Party was converted into a mobile game in some form. My idea is there would be online and single-player modes.
-
Multi-player:
The game would consist of a square of colors, just like the mini-game, and you would be given a color to tap. The last person to tap the color gets eliminated. Alternatively, it could work just like the mini-game and the people not touching the color would be eliminated. The game would keep going until there was a winner. -
Single-player:
For the single player mode it would be a high-score system. You would try to tap the colors within a certain time and if you fail, you get eliminated. Your goal is to go as far as you can into the levels. -
Potential problems:
-
Color blindness
Phone screens are pretty small so colorblind people may have trouble with distinguishing which color is which. -
Music
The mini-game’s music is licensed and I don’t know if they would be able to get a license for a mobile game.
-
-
Profitability:
The game could make money through ads or by being a paid game. Ads that give in-game rewards would probably make the most. -
Why this is a good idea:
I think a mobile game would be a good idea because it would expand Hive’s audience beyond the Minecraft server community, and it could be a valuable tool to help people to improve their reaction time.
