Big bedwars suggestion list

This is going to be a long list of all the features, updates and quality of life fixes that should be introduced to bedwars. Feel free too comment other ideas and tweaks I should add (I will edit the message)! There is a overview bellow most of them if you don’t want to read the waffle.

Items:

This one is kinda unrelated but it fits best here so I will put it at the top.
Bedwars shop pricing: The shop in bedwars is priced very randomly, it seems like there is no thought process behind it. The current shop makes some resources, such as Emeralds very useless once you get into the late game, only being able to buy Enderpearls and KB Dorys (Presuming you have max gens and diamond armour late game. And considering the Emerald generators are located at the centre of the map, they should logically be the most OP Resource as they are at the middle of the map, One simple solution is to make Diamond armour (The best armour in the game) cost only emeralds (Probably 20-30 is a good price instead of 32 diamonds and 4 emeralds as it is right now), This would make the game less of a spammy mess as the players would have to actually play the game for the best loot on afk on the gens. Now looking at this from the Hives perspective this would not make sense as the fact the game is so easy and afkable is the reason, in my opinion, the game is so popular. And there is a simple solution, one hive did on launch! That was making emeralds spawn on the generators at max level, this was removed as the emeralds were dropping too fast and it was too easy to obtain. Max gens should be hard to obtain as the ems are so OP if they raised diamond armour. Ems should spawn 1 every 20 seconds at max, making it possible to camp but too OP and probably about 10 ems to upgrade the gen instead of the current 2 ems. The price of Wool, Wood, Deep, Obbi and AutoBridgers is good considering the hive is trying too target their audience towards people that don’t want to be instant rushed off spawn by @NullKing11 and makes sense. Turrets and both fireballs should be removed as they just make the game a even larger spammy mess, and if not at least fix the regular fireballs and raise the price of them both to 1 stack each. And lastly for the shop changes, there should be wood and stone tools in the shop (Wood being 5 iron and stone is 5 gold) and adding diamond axe to make the shop more logical and consistent. This would end the pain of getting too a base and realising you have no tools :sob: !
Overview of Bedwars shop pricing:

  • Make shop pricing more logical
  • Diamond armour should cost 20-30 ems (Not dias)
  • Ems drop from max level generators (10 ems to upgrade, 1 em drop every 20 secs)
  • Remove turrets
  • Fix (or remove) Fireballs (change both prices to 1 stack of iron)
  • Add wood and iron tools (wood is 5 iron, stone is 5 gold and add diamond axe)

More “movement” Items: As of right now the only “Movement items” in bedwars are Auto bridgers and Enderpearls (Fireballs too but they are broken and inconsistent). There should be more, for example a Kb Tnt or a Ultimate Kb Tnt (Both already being added to other games), This would introduce a new way to play game, creating more fun and content for content creators. A suitable price for this is 4-5 diamonds for a regular and if they decide to add the Ultimate Kb Tnt maybe 4-5 emeralds (As it can be used offensively like a dory or as a movement item). Reply with more movement items suggestions too add.
Overview of More “movement” Items:

  • Add Kb Tnt and/or Ultimate Kb Tnt
  • 4-5 diamonds (regular), 4-5 emeralds (Ultimate)

Snowballs: This one might be a bit controversial, but in my opinion snowballs were a key part in treasure wars, assisting players in starting a combo, build a gap from opponents ect, I do think in treasure wars they were a bit cheap, maybe 1 emerald for 2-3 would be a good price as then they would eb used as a tool to start combos, not a spammy mess
Overview of Snowballs:

  • Add snowballs
  • 1 emerald for 2-3

Defensive mob: If they were to remove turrets, they could be replaced with some sort of defensive mob/s like a skeleton, zombie, iron golem etc. You could unlock skins for your defensive mob by levelling up for example a Ender golem iron golem or a pirate zombie! Maybe even a clone of your skin at a higher level unlock! A good price for this would probably be 20-40 diamonds!
Overview of defensive mob:
Add defensive mobs that can be spawned at your base
New unlocks
20-40 diamonds

Quality of life changes (more like random stuff):

Make all maps 16 blocks to mid and diamond gen: There is no need for mid or the side islands to be over 16 blocks away, I was playing squads and we queued one of those maps and everyone except 3 people requeued (they wernt even sweats js casuals) Evidently no player wants to play those maps.

Health indicators: Either remove them (as they look ugly and don’t always show on some players). Or add the option in /playersettings too turn them off and change them into the replay mode indicators (as those ones are more accurate)

Knockback and hitreg parity: It’s no secrete there is something up with the nockback and/or hitreg in bedwars compared to skywars, survival games, Hide and seek, treasure wars (and any other game that has pvp in it) and it sucks, I mean a lot. Imagine if you are a new player, you get good in bedwars then all of a sudden want to play skywars and realise you need to relearn all your skills. they would most likely never play skywars again, and vice versa. This change (and the others above) could open the doors too a new style of content, similar to the old PucePlayz videos or Nred4Bird vids as the game would run so much smoother!
Overview of Knockback and hitreg parity:

  • Make the nockback, hitreg or whatever it is the same as the rest of the hive (like skywars)

Winstreak counter: No reason to be removed, makes winstreak based content harder to make and is a good goal for new players too see their avg winstreak increase their motivation too play and get better at the game!

Add Trios and Mega: It’s a stupid decision imo, bedwars pulls enough players too have both, and mega is really fun sometimes!

cps anticheat: I was literally anti cheated for killing someone, I was clicking bellow 14 cps so I have no clue on why. I think the cps anticheat thing is stupid and should be replaced with worse hitreg or the clicks above a certain amount just dont register instead of kicking people that could very well just be a big lagspike (like in my case)

Snowballs would need to be priced in emeralds so that they wouldn’t be farmable at a base, and since 1-2 can be used for knocking people off bridges and combos, so pricing two snowballs for 4 or 6 emeralds seems reasonable.

We need mega. I can tolerate no trios, because they’re adding a party lock feature to prevent randoms being assigned, and it has the same maps as squads, but mega NEEDS to be added. it was beautifully unique.

A self-only knockback boombox is something they’re looking into finding a way to add, but a knockback for EVERYONE is insane. Dory’s already exist, and something that would knock everyone back would have to be maybe 15 emeralds, or even 20. Depends on whether it would be just as, more, or less, powerful than the one in SkyWars. Pricing it for the suggested price:

makes sense for a regular, as that matches its former TW price, rest its soul, but making something that is way more powerful than Dory and less expensive makes no sense, so 10-20 emeralds is, I believe, in the more reasonable price range.

I want the winstreak counter too ;-;

When it comes to health indicators, I’d like them to be better and display 1/2 hearts too, in the form of the red square being split in half. A toggle for them makes sense too. :slight_smile:

20 emeralds would be way to much for a ultra kb tnt as thats about the price i said for diamond armour, also theres a delay on it so you can run away, dorys dont work half the time too i should add that, 4 ems for snowballs is way toe xpensive, honestly imo the tw pricing of 1 em for 6 was fine but i understand why hive removed them so i think 2 is a good balance, the kb change is the main reason why alot of people quite im surprised you never noticed it, and the health indicators r kinda broken thats why id prefer the replay ones

That’s the highest idea, I’d much rather go in the range of 12 emeralds for the ultra kb TNT.

I think the snowball price was fine too, but so many people are griping about the spammers that the PPS (Price Per Snowball) would have to be higher. See this post:

Dorys not working 1/2 of the time, its intentional that way to combat their insane overpoweredness. (I think so anyway.)

Man why do u want treasure wars back, i know its a good previous gamemode but we don’t need snowballs back or tnt. We js need that the dia armor costs like 25ems instead of diamonds. Its realy stupid to get 32 dias and 4ems.

that is true. Fireballs are like handicapped and nerfed.

Whats wrong with snowballs, it adds another way of playing the game and 1 em for 2 is a good, fair price

not much, I want em back, but snowballs from tw were

  1. Easily Farmable
  2. Super easy to start combos
  3. were annoying to spam
  4. makes sweat who know how to sue snowballs to the average Joe who might not know will get dominated

but besides that, I don’t see the biggest problem.
