Bedwars Season 2 - Fully Loaded Challenge

Any player that has looked at the Bedwars Season two challenge board has likely noticed two things:
  1. The challenges are mostly achievable within a few hours of focus on that specific challenge

  2. One challenge stands out: The Fully Loaded Challenge (Upgrade Generators 1000 times)

This challenge stands out because of the daunting task of upgrading a generator 1000 times. For most skilled players, this challenge will simply be skipped, or completed after months of play, because none of us want to change our entire playstyle for a single challenge. As it is only possible to upgrade a generator 4 times per game, this challenge requires a MINIMUM of 250 games played, which is not that much. To players who prefer to rush, this challenge is near impossible, as most people who prefer that strategy upgrade their generator once, or possibly twice.

Another reason this challenge needs to be changed (I will list possible solutions down below) is because of the new game: Manor LTM. This game has 4 teams of 5 players, and there is a high chance that one of the other 4 players on your team will upgrade the gens before you can, making this challenge even more difficult.

As an example, I have played 125 games of bedwars (post-season 2) and upgraded generators exactly 75 times (post-season 2). This means that if I wanted to complete this challenge, I would need to play 2000 games of bedwars.

It seems as if the Hive is anti-grinding and anti-rush strategy now days, and is focusing on prolonging games (an example is the change to squads maps, making them less rush-friendly, or the changes to Manor adding an immediate deepslate defense) This is not what the community wants! Bedwars is a fun game, more so when it is faster paced. Upgrading generators 1000 times is a challenge that requires countless hours of play, and a lot of time sitting on generators, which is not fun. The whole fun part of bedwars is rushing and fighting other players, not wasting away on a generator.

Some solutions could be lowering the challenge goal to 750 or even 500 upgrades, or removing the challenge all together. As someone who is aiming to complete all challenges, even a change/boost to the completion reward would be greatly appreciated.

This :100:

This requires 250 good games, meaning you cant die off spawn and cant have any teammates buy upgrades as well. Playing duos will make this so much worse, upwards to 500 games. Squads…… yikes to anyone maining squads. This challenge is insane, 300 games is a hard one too, but isnt this bad.
I was level 40 last season with around 400 games played, thats probably the average for how much games regular players do. This needing 250 perfect games is near impossible for the regular player.

we’ll probably only have 4 months, look at the time difference between the season 1 and 2

I want to say:
I JUST completed this challenge TODAY. I have almost MAXED the game in the amount of time to beat this. I haven’t met anyone else (except extreme sweats) who has completed this challenge, and I was thinking: “These days, The Hive seems to be more orientated towards the casual players and not the sweats and grinders.” Well, this challenges is NOT orientated towards a casual player. This takes HOURS of grinding and changing your play style to try and max your gen every single game.

My season 2 stats: (I was level 50 when season 2 started, and these stats are since then)
bear in mind this is just an example of how long it took me specifically to complete this challenge

Games Played - 724
Victories - 408
Losses - 316
Kills - 3,668
Deaths - 1,147
Beds Destroyed - 1,651
Levels Obtained - 21.43
Generators Upgraded - 1,000

That’s an average of 1.38 upgrades per game. I’ll use the number 2 for an average amount of times someone upgrades a generator a game. That still means it would take 500 games for someone who manages to upgrade twice EVERY SINGLE GAME. All I’m saying is Hive just look out for the people who aren’t cripplingly addicted to your server like me.

btw the challenge just gives the usual 500 XP and 1 challenge medal. nothing fancy for that many hours of work.

I completed this 2 weeks ago it took me above 150 rounds a week, by the way gg to that round I played you in a couple weeks ago, your really good at PvP.

I have barely played ANY season 2 as I find it too similar to season 1. So yes, I 100% agree now.
