BedWars Health Bar Revamp

The health bars in BedWars currently consist of ten red squares.

This can be annoying when you need to read into the 1/2 hearts on the bar, which I do to tell precisely how many hits I need to kill a player. All the time, I’m fighting someone and they regen enough to take 1-2 more hits and I’m caught by surprise.

My suggestion is simple: Change the bar so that it shows the red squares vertically split in half to represent 1/2 hearts.

The other part of this suggestion is to make it so that Golden Hearts, from eating a Golden Apple, are shown as golden, with the same split horizontally method described above.

These simple changes will make the BedWars health bars easier to understand and utilize.

Thanks for reading my post  Have a good day!

how the heck are you getting the exact amount in the 2 ticks you get of no hits :sob:
imo it should go the opposite way and be a progress bar rather than a sort of levels thing

What do you mean? I’m talking about the health bar not the XP bar.

It would be a nice redesign, and they could add it along with the Season 2 update (or preferably before). And I guess it doesn’t seem very complicated to program.

Although instead of appearing vertically, the 1/2 hearts appear diagonally within the square to make it easier to distinguish, I don’t know what you think.

Appearing diagonally is a fine idea, but that would make this more complicated and therefore less likely to be added anytime soon.

Also, the usual hearts in your vision as a player are split vertically, so I just figured that would be better. But I don’t really care as long as the bar is easier to read.

what I meant was I think it should be the top rather than the bottom

imagine the bottom one has lines separating each pixel

I like the idea of a health bar better because rather than showing the percentage, it actually shows the amount of hp left. Also, its more consistent with the already existing health bar.
