we should be able to pick whatever seat we want to sit on in monorail, instead of putting us on random seats.

Yes I tried sitting in front of my friends and it wouldn’t do anything
I’m pretty sure this is a feature my 2 friends and I clicked on the same carriage and were put in it. Or maybe it’s just really good luck.
Yh its really annoying 4 me cos once me and my friend got on the monorail in the middle and only he sat in the middle and I was all the way at the back of the train 
I think this is because it uses a standard mountable entity, but retextured.
When you mount a boat or camel, you cant pick which seat you want to be in.
This is likely because there are multiple seat positions, and minecraft automatically places you on where you need to be.
If they were to make this change, the easiest option would be to create multiple mountable entities per car in the train rather than just one, which could lead to more lag.

You can actually choose your seat. I’m not talking “hidden command which makes some UI pop up” kind of stuff though.
Each monorail carriage has 2 doors, one on either side. These doors line up with a pair of seats. Hopefully this would work if you tried.
