What is it?
This “Battle Arena” would be a new HIVE minigame where players can practice using a variety of kits in a free-for-all, unlimited-lives, instant-respawn style environment. Each arena would feature standard kits, allowing for fast-paced and accessible combat. The main goal of this gamemode is to offer players a more efficient and timely PvP experience—eliminating the need to wait in queues, gear up before fighting, search for opponents, or face unfair fights. This would provide a consistently fun and competitive atmosphere, similar to what’s already successful on non-featured servers like Zeqa. To further enhance gameplay, unique objectives and a variety of kits could be added. Examples of both are listed below.
Additional Ideas:
Kit Ideas:
-
Fist: Players only have their fists and the void to eliminate others. Simple yet highly skill-based, this mode would be appreciated by experienced players looking to refine various skills like jump reset, W tapping and more.
-
SkyWars: A kit modeled after the standard SkyWars loadout, including armor, swords, bows, blocks, snowballs, cobwebs, and other similar items.
-
Modern: A unique kit featuring “modern” Minecraft items such as enchanted netherite gear, end crystals, the mace, elytras, wind charges, ender pearls, bows, potions, totems, lava, and more. Providing a unique style not featured on any other Bedrock servers.
Objectives:
-
Kill Tracking: Track stats such as kill streaks, total kills, deaths, and K/D ratio in real time. This would help players monitor their progress and improvement continuously.
-
KOTH (King of the Hill): A mode where players compete to control elevated ground for the longest duration.
-
Tracker: Players are each assigned a specific target and given a compass to locate them. The player who eliminates the most of their assigned targets wins the round.
Modes like KOTH and Tracker could activate only a few times per hour to keep the focus on general free-for-all combat, while still offering variety and dynamic objectives.
Why this would be a good idea
Gamemodes like this have already proven successful on servers like CubeCraft and Zeqa, and likely on others as well. This kind of system would undoubtedly attract a solid player base. By introducing multiple arenas tailored to specific kits and incorporating rotating objectives, HIVE’s version could offer a deeper and more enjoyable experience than CubeCraft’s. In the future, if custom servers become available for this mode, I—and many others—would definitely use them to practice specific skills like sumo, without needing to manually create fighting areas on bedwars servers.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Feel free to leave any thoughts or suggestions in the comments—I’ll definitely be checking back to update the post or add more ideas.
