So, in couple weeks to today - NA server just reached unbelievable as over 15000 players playing. This make the EU and Asia server become less player and make the NA very laggy for some devices doesnt have good internet connection or experience lag with so much entities, make the experience not enjoyable at all
My suggestion to balance amount of players, theres something wrong with how player always log into NA server. Keep all 3 servers with at least 5k each one
Imagine you want to grind games but your device is very bad and when you join the server you got so much lag then your game just freeze or even crash
idk short post after a long time and if i didnt explain fully detailed (im lazy)
Regione exist so players from different places in the world can connect to the hive while having a good experience without lag, let’s Say someone from china wants to join hive, he would usually go to Asia but with the thing you suggested if Asia already had 7k players, Europe 6k and NA 2k he would connect to NA and lag that much? This doesn’t make sense at all. Also since timezones exist, at some hours the NA servers will have the most players, at other hours EU etc.

@Alterboom is right, You connect to the server you aren’t gonna be laggy on. Cross region matchmaking fixes the issue if there aren’t many players on a region.

Player counts fluctuate based on the time in that region. I’ve seen EU and AS reach 10k and 6k at peak hours, respectively. Player counts drop once it gets late, so I suggest to just try playing earlier.

ok so na reached over 15k cuz of random reason when ppl in different regions login NA instead of their region, which is why its very lag. idk if this even a bug or the other 2 regions hive has some issue with the 2 servers

no, eu/as surprisingly downgraded to below 1k players, or even around 500 players playing, i also got push into na server when i joined that time. This surely the server issue tho, which why i made this suggestion
So we should force Americans and Canadians to have higher ping because they’re the majority of the playerbase? This just seems unnecessary.
This is like saying we should suspend some forumers until late into the night so more stuff happens after 10PM since it’s too active between 9AM-8PM EST. Blaming the server for being popular isn’t a good reason to do this either.

If you have trouble with the player count and are willing to increase your ping, try switching regions yourself. I have done this while playing gravity/block drop/ground wars and it works well.
