It affects every gamemode.
When you wait on each gamemode’s lobby, somewhere you will see the victory podium. Possibly, you will see avatars without a figure above them (before the game starts). Also, this happened to me when I made a cs. See the screenshot.
It doesn’t get affected by the device, I think, but I play on pocket edition.
