Assassin can DESTROY the key in Castle Town

What the title says, simply.
The usual tired story: You have to be innocent, but you want to be a murderer, and when you finally have the role of murderer… oh surprise, it’s in Castle Town.

But not this time…

If you are an assassin and you are lucky enough to come across a key, you can now take it and destroy it.

Taking into account that there are 15 players vs 1 when searching for the keys, this idea is not unbalanced.

PLAYERS, If the killer could destroy the key, how would you like this new mechanic to work?

  • That the murderer can take the key JUST ONCE, and carry it with him for a few seconds, and then drop it. BUT DO NOT MAKE THE MOMENT OF IT FALLING VISIBLE so that it is not so obvious and no one suspects.
  • If the killer finds a key and has coins collected, touch it and “pay” to destroy it PERMANENTLY (pay to destroy it at a reasonable cost to be decided yet)
  • Killer can destroy a key ONLY ONCE (to avoid abuse), but a new key is generated after a certain time has passed
  • That the player can destroy a key PERMANENTLY (without a new key being generated)

Maybe pick it up but drop it after 10 seconds but it only appears after another 10seconds so nobody gets suspicoiausbabsb

I like this idea, it can be annoying when everyone has a free bow/extra arrow so if the murderer gets to one of the keys first and disables the armory that could be a balanced way to go about it

Yes I love this idea bc people go searching for keys which makes an unfair unbalance for the murd. I love this idea if anything they should do the thing they did with pigment or remove keys.

Maybe make it so that you can open the armory with TWO keys and that way the murderer CAN prevent it but it’s harder. At the least they could delay it

Or put a timer on the keys or make is so the keys have to be brought the gate instead.

acually… what if a NEW key appears after 2 minutes of it being dstryed? like, exept it would be ahrder to find because it would fade and reapper every few secs

How about increase the number of keys needed to unlock it and if you find a key, you have to take it to the gate for it to be inserted into the gate.

I have played Castle Town several times, and although it may sound like a counterargument for my proposal, I must say that not in all games the innocents manage to find the 3 keys. Now imagine they add 5.

(And please confirm this or deny it, but I suspect that not all players can see the keys, I suspect, I don’t confirm anything. Don’t you have that feeling too?).

Maybe you need to use 10 coins to pick up a key and destroy it? Great idea voted!

Sounds cool, how would u balance it tho? Or are u saying u don’t need to balance it, mm is inherently unbalanced and skewing it towards murd while still heavily favoring innos due to the map is ok?

I personally don’t like the ct keys like at all, it homogenizes the murd games bc everyone has an early bow and reduces my chances to get the elim bc everyone has an early bow -_-, I’m not sure permanently breaking the keys is the best way to go about it tho

I have read everyone’s comments, and based on all of your suggestions and the concern shown, to prevent ABUSE OF THIS NEW FEATURE I have decided to edit my proposal and add your suggestions so that the moderators know exactly what each person wants. Thank you very much for your ideas.

I feel like given the map castle town’s advantage to innocents that we should be able to have the murderer destroy ONE key max, and have two keys be able to open it.

That way its more challenging for innocents, murderer can get extra XP, and everything is a little more balanced.
