AS region ping booster based in China

Idea:

I suggest there should be a ping booster located in any city in China, preferably Shanghai for its central location.

More information:

China has a terrible issue with ping, due to The Great Firewall of China, players in China cannot play in AS region without receiving at least 4000 ping, or just cannot join simply. This leads to a VPN solution, which is not allowed on hive

Tbh, my idea is quite unrealistic but I just want to raise awareness of this situation for Chinese players and if maybe this is possible, please try to implement a server booster in China, to avoid the firewall.

Yeah! It takes so long to queue on China. However, I guess Hong Kong and Macau can queue faster

Unfortunately, we are not looking to add any new regions at this time. More information about this can be found below:

Adding regions is a substantial cost in server hire, bandwidth (where applicable) and additional maintenance overhead on the staffing side. With our current region setup, we’ve split the world in 3 based and where possible, regions are hosted as close as possible to the biggest population centers.

Even at double our current player numbers, adding a new region will not be sustainable as it further splits the player base, even with region agnostic technology.

Finally, our current server provider does not offer any services in the entire African continent.

We’ll continue to evaluate our regions over time, but in the short terms, we have no plans for any additional regions or changes to the geographic location of our current hosting.

With that said, we may look into implementing more ‘local zones’ to improve the routing of connections for players who are far away from their nearest geographical region. You can learn more about this here.
