Allow any 3D outfits or outfits you can find in the marketplace .
Pretty Simple.
While it sounds good on paper, it can easily be abused as you can change your perceived hitbox - basically, another player might be hitting a part of you that’s outside your hitbox and of course won’t be doing any damage giving someone with a 3D skin a huge advantage.
They were also previously cut for performance issues though idrk how that works.
“They were also previously cut for performance issues” is having to do with personas created from the character creator. Completely unrelated to marketplace personas that allows the actual 3D model changes to be made, such as perceived hitboxes as you mentioned.
I would assume any 3D outfits includes those made in the character creator though this was not completely specified in the post.
3D would mean they have custom geometry, but Chracter Creator skins just have different textures (for the most part)
Thank you everyone for all your replies ![]()
no problem also WELCOME dude
if i’m remembering correctly, you used to be able to use pretty much any skin on the hive. but this got removed for reasons that i think are pretty obvious. for example, someone i remember on the hive used a skin with only a few pixels on the .png and it made it almost impossible to hit him. i haven’t seen that in a while now.
character creator skins can be abused in a similar way, by making skins taller/shorter. if there are any OGs here you might remember when evident made his skin extra short with the character creator, and that combined with crouching made him shorter than one block, making it easy to trap people.
I do get it. But custom skins are not allowed only skins on the marketplace.
It will make lag for low-end devices
It would. I get it.
