An infection game mode

The game mode I think should be implemented is an infection game mode

Whenever I go on the hive I always want to play something that is fun but not overly competitive, and I think that this would be a mode. This game mode would consist of anywhere between 12-20 players. Everyone would spawn in a separate location on the map and after about 10-15 seconds someone would be chosen to be “infected”. Upon becoming infected the player would gain slowness and their name tag would turn red. The goal for the infected would be to infect everyone else while the goal for the survivors would be to survive for a full 5 minutes. The infected player would spawn with a stone sword while the survivors would spawn with a iron sword and a bow with an arrow that replenishes every 5 seconds or so. On top of that the survivors would be able to chose one of the following kits(golden apples, snowballs, a sharpness one sword, a punch one bow, or a helmet and boots). If the infected has not killed anyone in 2 minutes a random survivor will be chosen at random to become infected.

If this game mode would be created I think that the XP should be just like the one of hide and seek and murder mystery
kill an infected - 10XP
Kill a survivor - 20XP
Win as infected - 50XP
Win as survivor - 200XP
Survivors are awarded 5XP for every 30 seconds that they are alive, this is doubles if they survive until the end of the round

Note: This game mode would be similar to hide and seek but with a pvp perspective

ghost isnvasoion is pretty similar but yeah they should turn ghost isnvasoion into zombie isnvasoion instead an put it in the arcade and have it 4ever

ghost invasion is one my all time favorite games in Hive, alongside snow wars (not groundwars, i hate powerups) and murder mystery. I’d so love to see it come back not as an ltm but forever, but I highly doubt that hive would do that as they probably would rather have new games instead of recycling old content (block party is an example of this, they want to create instead of reuse).

whats wrong with wpowerups wbro?

My problem lies mainly with the imposter powerup, and to a lesser degree the rain of pain powerup (though that ones fine since its just once per game). the Imposter powerup is pretty op, as it allows players in full diamond to just obliterate whole teams at once. Imo people should lose armor when they get it, or they should just remove it entirely.
The other powerups are fine, if a little op (the bomb and kb powerups are amazing for dealing with people camping behind a wall, for example).

Very fair overall but I think the survivors could easily win every time just based on the fact that the infected have slowness. I think it’s a good idea that, like hide and seek, if the player hasn’t infected anyone after 2 minutes, a person at random is selected. Good idea overall but the survivors would need to be nerfed for the game to be balanced.
