It would be amazing to have a mode that allows you (on a map replicating Earth) to claim land, start a town/country, war with other nations, and expand your empire.

Have you not seen SMP Earth? It can be done, and quite well.
That’s pretty much the idea.
The hive doesn’t do long term gamemodes, it’s a minigame server. So factions or skyblock aren’t options

I don’t see why they wouldn’t, just because they haven’t.
i think it’s how long it would take to make the game and how long the update happens and people want new minigames so this would delay them so much more.

I don’t think a single featured server has had survival work, and the hive isn’t an exception I think
