Alternate Gamemodes

As the Title Suggests, Murder Mystery but with different twists. Without further explanation, lets begin.

  1. Heroes Die Here - In this gamemode there are no heroes, more specifically, the Sheriff role is completely absent. Aside that, any maps with Power-Ups are half as long in duration, Armour and Extra Arrows will not work at all. To put the final nail in the coffin, the one shot Zapper will require 15 coins to obtain.
    The Murderer is not safe either, with such an oppression on the innocents, they dont feel like they even need their throwable.

  2. Infection - This has been discussed more than once before, but a gamemode, similar to HnS but not the same that gradually turns players into Zombies, or more apropriately, flesh starved Homunculi.
    For every person who dies to the murderer, they will become a Homunculi to hunt a player; Homunculus are unable to infect players.
    As soon as the player finds a victim they’ll die for good. The Murderer can only infect homunculus once every 20 seconds, anyone else killed in that interval just dies.
    When players shoot a Homunculus, they will get their arrow back. When the Murderer dies, all remaining Homunculi have 45 seconds to kill the remaining players, once the time expires they will drop dead.

  3. Juggernaut - Maybe the most aggresive out of them all but simple to explain. The Murderer starts with 2 layers of Armour (3 Lives Overall), when someone dies fireworks go off to signal where the juggernaut is. For every layer of armour broken The Juggernaut will inflict all players or itself with a status effect.

Layer 1: Blinding Fury - Inflict Players with 20 seconds of Blindness.

Layer 2: Steaming Anger - Obtain Speed a permanent Speed I alongside omce every 45 seconds the first person you charge into dies on contact.

Layer 3: Final Say - Upon Dying, self destruct and kill players in a 4 tile Radial AoE.

That will be all (for now)

All of these are very good ideas although it would be very difficult in murder mystery if infection was implemented. You would have to kill all the murderers or the main murderer which you might not know

So I know the point you are making, I would reitterate that you would only have to kill the Murderer and all the living Homunculi will drop dead 45 seconds after the Murderers Death.

To make it easier for players to tell who the Murderer os, I would give Homunculi the strength effect with a stick as the “killing weapon”, that should suffice for telling them apart

For the juggernaut idea I think it’s cool but it needs a massive nerf or balance. At the beginning of a round in that current state, the juggernaut could just kill everyone as fast as possible and no would could stop it because only the sheriff has a bow. Maybe make it do that everyone has a one shot bow. Also the blindness effect is way too long. Maybe some more things but yeah that sounds pretty fun
