Addressing the Hive Skywars competetive issues

Add a MMR system to hive skywars

a MMR (Matchmaking rating) system to skywars

for a good year or 2 ever since the release of max level of 75 in skywars we have been experiencing a lot of over competitive and sweaty players making it impossible to enjoy and play on i mean how is a new player coming to hive and skywars trying to learn how things work and to play the game and you guessed it the most annoying and over competitive sweaty players just ruins the fun of the game mode and the game itself like its literally impossible to have fun and enjoy the game mode and alot of players get frustrated and angry to never return to this game mode ever again so a matchmaking rating system would be perfect for SW keeping the most skilled and less skilled players seperated keeping things healthy, fun, and most importantly fair so the more you win the more skilled players youll end up with and the more you lose the less skilled players youll end up with.

and so this is to address the quality of life and over competitive nature aspect of this game mode

Theres already pbmm, then for the sweaty players issue, try playing at a different time instead where sweats are less active

Sbmm doesnt work, it makes the queues too long. They tried it on bridge solos for a while, but removed it cuz it was killing it.

The only solutions are to do what springpea said or a ranked gamemode, not a system in every gamemode. Megas could be replaced with ranked solos or whatever mode they want.

Literal Bridge Solos, the least popular gamemode on hive, couldn’t make it with this. Skywars, the second most popular would INSTANTLY plummet, making a long-term use of this simply impractical.

Clearly you have a lot of anger over sweats. Sweating a game is kind of the meaning of the game. As in, you play it to win. Like, that’s the idea. So I don’t see how sweats are doing anything wrong.

The sweats have gotten good at the game over time. If you want too have a lot of wins just practice. SBMM was a failed experiment.
