Add snowballs to bedwars

Tell me, how snowballs encourage pvp. They are an item you spam to get people in the void. Thats not pvp

Very few of the people arguing in this post actually played TW, and NONE of them have played as much as me (except for @RealMineKat1)

@NotYoshi2 With all due respect, you only have HEARD about snowball spamming. Even if you’ve experienced it, you don’t have anywhere near the amount of knowledge that me and MineKqt would.

I’ve logged 11k TW games and I’ve rarely experienced this being a big issue. In additon, totems and potions are such crutches that you cannot possibly be campaigning NOT to have something added and just letting those things be without being kind of a hypocrite.

Snowballs are a gray area in PvP. Do they actually count as PvP even though you aren’t hitting people? Either way, it’s closer than sitting on the gens. After the release of S2, BW really has become ā€˜camping simulator.’ The game is poorly designed to an unbelievable degree. It makes organized grinding and party playing nearly impossible.

BW has become frankly horrible compared to Treasure Wars, and even BW S1. Snowballs would encourage at least SOME form of combat, which is better than the deep slate defense tumors being built as you read this.

Dude, I was level 69 in TW and found snowballs as a no skill item. I used them yes, but it was needed to have a chance against PC players. Ans while you say it is PVP because you are hitting the player, How is Fireballs not the same? IMO it could cause PVP but it could also cause base campers to have another item for defending.

I guess it’s just different perspectives as even tho I played a decent amount I’m still a noob :loudly_crying_face:

I dislike bow spamming too, but fireball spamming isn’t as bad imo as for 1, it is a good weapon for worse players like myself, and for 2 it can’t really be spammed too easy saying it costs a stack of iron each.

Meanwhile, snowballs were alot cheaper and you could also spam them close range. This may be a good thing for people who are good at the game like yourself, but for regular players it isn’t too fun being comboed that bad, and that’s not even counting on bridges

People saying snowballs encourage pvp when theres nothing stopping u from stabbing people without them is wild.

Snowballs are for bad players to be able to abuse a resource disparity to kill a player better than them, giving an element of resource management to what would otherwise just be a pvp game. This attempts to keep the game more casual by putting item gathering and use over skill, allowing the game to be more enjoyable for a larger playerbase. However, we already have multiple broken items in bedwars that do the same thing currently (by ā€œthe same thingā€ I mean ā€œallowing players to kill people who are much better than themā€) so we really don’t need more.

All in all, there’s no reason to add more projectiles to this game, there are already quite a few. If you’re struggling to start combos I have a few suggestions: Blocks, bow, jump resetting, hit selecting, or even smth like a nausea potion + strafing. Be creative, don’t just ask hive to add an item that makes all those other strategies irrelevant by nature of being too oppressive, other games have that problem and its so unfun (ctf with bows, for example). That being said, you still don’t have to fight people if you wanna win but are worse than them. Run past them, break their bed, then shoot them off a bridge. Fireballs, dorys, and wind charges all exist and are all insanely strong items. And if you’re complaining that you can’t win the fight because you’re worse than them, then there really is nothing I can say except get better.

Tbh, they were overpowered but they were fun. Maybe they can either up the price or set limits of how much that can hive in the inventory. Maybe like, 4 at a time or like, 5 diamonds for 3, or 1 emerald per 1

Getting mad about overpowered items and then RECOMMENDING the use of a nausea potion is legitimately one of the most hypocritical things I have read on this sight.

I’m not whining. As I’ve previously mentioned, I played more TW than most people on this site have. I checked your stats, and with respect, you are not entitled to talk about TW like you’re an OG grinder when you are NOT. Your level was less than forty, which I could hit in like three or four days after Prestiging.

More relevant, I don’t hear anyone petitioning to remove snowballs from SW, so clearly once they’re there, people will get used to them. Months and months ago, I suggested the following for making snowballs less abusable, because as you may not have considered, a level 351 has far more experience with this than a level 39.

-A cool down, similar to how throwing an ender pearl in Vanilla Minecraft has a cool down.

-A limited amount purchaseable at each base’s shop, like what we had for Chorus Fruits and Golden Apples in TW.

-Some sort of cap to the amount each player can carry.

I don’t object the nerfing of snowballs. I want them in the game because I play on a tablet. I can’t click and move the camera, and I can’t get very high CPS either. This makes it really hard for me to combo anyone decent without projectiles to help. The standard snowball or bow combo is still a skillful thing to do, though.

I’m not saying that I’m bad at MC. I’m #1 Directional Pad controls ranked. What I am saying is that we don’t all have it as easy as you PC players, and good for you if you don’t need snowballs, but you are not the majority. We don’t need them to carry by spamming, we need them to make things just a little more fair. Any amount of balancing I would accept as long as snowball combos were still possible.

Ye I mean although I dont have as much experience in tw as some people, I still understand basic ā€œannoying mechanics.ā€ They are not. I played squads a bit when tw was still around, there were no where close to the amount of basecampers in tw to bw. Like Minekat said, bw is supposed to be a pvp game. With all these new mechanics like fbs and dorys, it just becomes more unskilled. Bedwars is not a skilled gamemode. Sbs can possibly bring balance

Ik people will say,ā€sbs will add to the problem.ā€ But skill is required to know how to use sbs.

Did you just call nausea OP, if that’s OP then how are SBs not

I agree. SB aren’t the most or least skillful item out there, but man oh man, BW is just camping simulator fr.

Hardly any BW players ever do anything, like OMG why would they make something this horribly designed.

@NotYoshi2 snowballs CAN be OP. remember my nerf suggestion?

Ok, ok, I have to go to school so to end this, what if Hive just did a play test with snowballs
