so I’ll just make it short what if above the player’s name is added the ping of the player. I think if for example this is added it will be very helpful when playing the game. this can also prevent a player from being banned due to lag.
Togglable also welcome to the forums!!
Remember you can vote for your own post!! If @SuchabunYT was still here he wpuld put a
I think this is unnecessary, and I personally don’t care about the other player’s ping enough o justify adding an above name display of it. I’m also pretty confident ping above the player name would do anything about getting kicked for lag. Overall this is just fully unnecessary and mostly just annoying.
I play java edition a lot and use a modded client called Lunar Client. (this is NOT a hacking client and almost all servers allow this, and some servers even have deals with it) On Lunar Client there is an option to show ping on other players’ name tags. I don’t use modded clients for Bedrock, but I know they exist and some are legal on Hive, and, correct me if I’m wrong, but surely one of these has this feature available. So, if you really want to see people’s ping download a client. Again, I’m NOT encouraging hacking or cheating in any way; I’m referring to clients that are legal on Hive and do not add anything more than visual features. If you want to use a modded client make sure to check the Hive rules to ensure all the mods you’re using are legal.
The player ping could help a lot in fights, since you would know whether they would lag or not, which could help players with what weapons they use and when to time certain things to improve their attacks. It seems like a quality of life feature.
Yes, but there are console players, and they can’t just simply download a client. That’s not possible for them. Also, I’m not sure about this, but I don’t know if mobile can either. In Java it’s better since 100% of the players CAN download it (assuming they have the storage and all that to do so,) but not all of the Bedrock players can, even if 50% or higher can.
I personally don’t care a ton about other player lag, and I don’t change my strategy accordingly. If they have good ping then I fight them fairly; if they have bad ping to where they freeze in place that’s just an advantage to me. My strategy is to prepare for the former and tale the latter if it comes.
This is true, I’ll admit.
I would be open to this being a toggle-able option, but I still do not want this as an addition. This is a pretty unnecessary addition to have in my opinion. If this was added as a toggle in the shopkeeper and friendly indicator settings interface I’d be completely fine with it.
Yea, that’s kinda what I expected too. I agree, togglable is good. It could still just be cool to exist in the first place. And people who can’t get clients might have better chances even if it’s minor.
Welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your time here. This could work but it’ll be a little too much I mean we can add this but make it a setting instead of a feature because there are all types of opinions about it.
Also toggleable so people cant see your own
If you mean you want a toggle to prevent other people seeing your ping, that completely defeats the entire point of this feature ever being added.
Not really it just means they cant take advantage of your laggy tablet more easily
If you could toggle other people seeing your ping that would defeat the point of this feature. The reason is that if you’re smart at all, you’d realise that having your ping shown wouldn’t give you any advantage, but it would give your opponent an advantage. This means that everyone who is smart will just toggle it off, and only the noobs would have the ping enabled, making this useless.
So i want to say that i want this feature to be add is because the Anti cheat sistem is kinda suck because the anti cheat is cannot see the different of player that actualy cheat or lag so if this was added at least the Anti cheat sistem can see the different of cheater and lag people
This could be done even without a visible number in the name tag, and the title of the discussion is “Add ping above player name.”
