Idea:
My suggestion is to add the option to disable snow in the main hub.
More information:
Every year, me and my siblings struggle to even start a game because the snow causes so much lag in the hub. I imagine this feature would be similar to the “Performance mode” option available in Block Drop.
This is a good idea, but do you play on NS? If you do, then that’s probably why you’re so laggy. Voted and don’t forget to vote for your own posts!
I play Win10, my brother plays ChromeOS, and my sister plays iOS. It’s only glitchy during the winter months when we’re in the main hub. As soon as we start a game, everything works. I’m like 90% sure it’s the snow.

The snow is pretty low-lag though. A potion thrown would make almost as many particles. The fact that your windows computer struggles might suggest it’s a connection issue (depending on the system you have).

Well I think it’s strange that all three of us are experiencing a connection issue during Winterfest every year for three years in the hub only. Unless Starlink decides to slow down internet speeds during the Hive’s winterfest event, the snow is lagging it.

You can use a texture pack to prevent the snow from displaying. (As a quick fix)
On PC you can use a client like Onix to change the environment.

Would you be comfortable sharing what specific device you have? That could give a better clue. Its interesting that it would be the snow:/

I have a Windows 10 laptop. I’m not too sure what the exact model is. It is a little slow but it works perfectly with everything else but when I’m in the hub with snow. I’ll join the hub after a game and I’m ready to queue the next one but I have to wait like 30 seconds before it lets me open the menu, and if I walk at all during that time, it teleports me back to spawn after a few seconds.
