Add (Exploiting a bug) to the in game reporting system

Idea:

There should be an extra option to report people who are exploiting bugs.

More information:
Lately, there is a bug that causes players to be invisible in most game modes. I’m suggesting an addition to the in game reporting system for players who exploit these types of bugs. I’ve reported a lot recently, and it’s only getting worse. Having this option in game would be very helpful as it would speed up the time to report this type of rule breaking instead of going to discord. Especially if someone didn’t link their account (to discord).

It would probably be something like this:
-Select: Bug Exploit
-Enter a description no longer than 100 letters.
(To promote short explanations for the ease of the staff)
-Then the confirmation: “You are reporting (player) for bug exploit: The player is exploiting a bug”. With a warning to the player to be careful with bug exploiting issues.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Nice idea!

Thanks! This would help a lot for some players. (I think…)

Great idea! There could also be an optional text box that allows you to type the bug they are exploiting!

Seems helpful. It would help the staff understand if the proposed issue is a current bug or just a cheat.

Yea, but apparently i’ve became invis before and i dont even know how to do it, so a lot of players would get banned for something they didnt even know they were doing or how to do it. With hacks, you dont accidentally stumble upon them and get them. With this bug, you cant even see if your invis! Maybe a warning the first time and an explanation on how it works so it wont happen again?

I suppose a warning to the player would be helpful…

Hey, people don’t know when this happens, and it’s out of the player’s control. It would be completely unfair to be punished for this because the invisibility isn’t the fault of one who is invisible, rather it is a client-side rendering issue for the one who sees it that way. It’s a model loading issue on the side of the one seeing it, and can be easily fixed by closing Minecraft and re entering it.

Yep I understand

Maybe if AFTER the game you would be kicked just saying “please restart your device, as there has been an error rendering your character.”

But they couldn’t detect this, as it is a client side error. Only the person seeing it knows its there.

No like if you got reported from others due to this is what I mean.

No that still wont work. Only the person SEEING the invisible player can tell. its not the player who is invisible’s problem. If somebody reports you for this they need to reload THEIR game not you reloading yours. It’s the rendering on the person’s side rather than the person being rendered invisible that causes this, and that’s also how to fix it.

Ohhhhh I see. Then maybe if the person reports it will tell the person to reload, and if multiple people report one person, the Hive could investigate to see if they acrually have an invis skin or if it’s a coincedence.

Well here’s the problem. We can’t tell if the player is doing it intentionally or is just playing regularly. However, based on what I’ve seen. Most players seem to know they’re glitched, and they start taking advantage of it. Especially if they experiment with skins to see which one would help them become invisible more often. I think a warning should be required, but we can’t tell for sure what that player’s intentions are.

How many times must I tell people:

On the side of the one who is invisible there is absolutely no indication that they are that way. It is a CLIENT SIDE LOADING ISSUE. I’m really getting tired of having to say this over and over.

Look I understand very clearly about client side issues. But, the idea here is to make an option to report on players who KNOW that they can’t be seen and start exploiting it. The simple way to know is to ask them in chat if the know they can’t be seen (well… not really but idk). @DarthEagle99 suggested a warning which would help with this exact predicament, and like I said before:

I understand this is very confusing, but I see no other way to deal with this. This idea is just to ease players in reporting this type of cheat(ing).

What Im saying is that it would be almost impossible for someone to do that and it would lead to many false bans.

How do you KNOW someone is cheating like that
Unlike something like reach you can TELL if they click too far. But with this, all you can do is expect the person to say “yes I’m purposefully invis” like that literally wont happen.
And what AJ said, the odds of that are extremely low and it’s more as if 99% of people are on accident while the 1% intentionally are invis.

There is no good use in this IMO.

No it’s because they are NOT invisible. Most players see them a normal but only one other player has a bug and sees Everybody as invis
