Add Custom Icons To The Hive's Hotbar Menus

So you may be aware of The Hive developing a Replay System. In the replay system, the hotbar menu for controlling the replay features a variety of custom icons. This, alongside the recent addition of a trophy for the end game victory screen, shows that The Hive is willing to add custom items.

The Hive also has various hotbar menus which use basic Minecraft items as icons. My suggestion is to change them to custom icons. Below are my recommendations for what they should be.

Hub
Select Game - Joystick
Friends - A Player
Unlocks - A Treasure Chest

Game Lobby
Vote For Map - A Bar Graph
Unlocks - A Treasure Chest
Boosters - A Lightning Bolt
Leave Game - The Yellow Car NPC of the same function

Custom Servers
Server Settings - A Gear
Game Settings - A Pile Of Bolts

Deathrun Runner
Normal - A Player
Small - A Tiny Player
Invisible - A Dotted Outline Of A Player

Deathrun Death
Previous Trap - Back Arrow
Next Trap - Forward Arrow
Select Trap - Multiple Targets
Activate Trap - A Target
Trap Cooldown - Grayed Out Target
Trap Taken - A Red To Gray Gradient On A Target

Spectator
Spectate Player - Binoculars
New Game - A Joystick
Go To Hub - A Yellow Car

Game End
Go To Hub - A Yellow Car

Any ideas what the icons for the “Death” in DR could be?
Next trap - An arrow pointing forward
Last Trap - An arrow pointing backwards
Activate trap - Fire? I don’t really know.

There’s already an png file for this, but still currently unused.

I’d really like to see these custom items in-game :slight_smile:

Next and last trap ones looks like pretty good ideas, so does the “Activate trap” one, in my opinion.
The “Trap occupied” icon could be that same icon but grayscaled and with an “X”. The cooldown icon would be just like the Occupied one, except with an lock icon instead of an red X.

That sounds really good, I think it would make sense so that you don’t even need to hover over the item as you see the Binoculars and you know it is spectate. Good Idea.

Nothing, it wouldn’t be an npc. It’d be an item.

I actually prefer the default icons, some of the custom icons would just seem out of place in Minecraft.

I’ll probably get used to custom icons if they’re implemented tho so I won’t rlly mind
