Yeah that’s why I said northwest Brazil, in the middle. Costa Rica is so hurricane-battered that that would not really work. Maybe Panama but imagine a person in southern Chile/Argentina trying to play and their awful ping ;-;
Yes, that does make sense. Although I do think that México is kinda stuck with no region with na being so far away(did I really put the e with an accent??)
I already explained why this is expensive and unnecessary in his last suggestion. So here it is again with some changes to fit the topic:
I don’t think you understand how time-consuming this would be. Hive would have to contract a company to host servers and run them (And for a server like Hive and servers in general, this is one of, if not the biggest operating cost). Unless they buy their own servers, but that’s still extremely expensive. They’d have to translate everything that hasn’t been translated into spanish yet into spanish and more portuguese translation for good measure. And there’s zero gurantee this is will be profitable. The playerbase is there, but it doesn’t matter if they don’t spend money.
The amazon rainforest seperating Ecuador and Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, and Guyana. The best place in my opinion would be Paraguay. The Northern South American countries and Latin America can connect to NA. But like I said, Hive needs to make sure this’ll be profitable before doing this.
But getting back to the topic, I think that, if the owners wanted to open a map in South America, they would have to look at other servers that have done it successfully to copy the formula.
this doesn’t make much sense for Paraguay because unless they move na region because Guatemala is over 4k miles(or more than 6250 kilometers if you wanna be that guy), so unless they did make a South America region, South America got no where to play without a good device(AKA PC).
I get the point, and I would say it probably expensive, but maybe they could do this in a few years if this was in demand.
A random gang from El Salvador would surely see all of the technology of a Minecraft server and think, ‘ooh profit’ and if we get to the point where the only way to keep technicians safe is to hire armed guards, then El Salvador is an awful idea.
OF COURSE I know that, it’s not like I have a giant wire plugged into my tablet whenever I play. but the picture shows that people have electrical access in a way that sort of curves around the Amazon.
A good location might be somewhere around the Amazon, and before you shoot me down like you always do, hear me out. Manaus, Brazil is a city right in the middle of the Amazon:
(Sorry it’s so small, it’s the best one I can find, if you squint and zoom in, then you can tell that Manaus is right next to the Amazon River, deep into the forest.
As it clearly shows, Manaus has a population density that sticks out among the Amazon, at over two million people in that tiny space. Ecuador’s LARGEST city, Guayaquil, has about the same population. That’s why I suggested Ecuador, but at the same time Manaus could work.
