Be able to place blocks in the air by pressing the “space” key and the “crouch” key at the same time.
This feature would be useful when you want to build from the top. Currently, when I want to build from the ceiling, I have to make a vertical row from below.
Any clarification is welcome and thanks for reading.
I don’t know about this. First i don’t know if it’s possible, and 2nd how would this be done on touch controls where you can place blocks anywhere on your screen(besides where the buttons on the screens are)?
Do you know why I proposed pressing “space” and “crouch” at the same time? Because by pressing just “crouch” in the air, you go down, and you can’t stay still. This is not the case on mobile devices, meaning that only by pressing “crouch” will they have the opportunity to do so.
And on the other point you say about whether or not this is possible to put blocks in the air, my conclusion is this: I don’t know how possible or impossible this is, I guess we will have to wait for Splodger or a certified programmer to clarify it, and close the topic.
We dont need this, it would be a good idea but if someone doesnt know about this they will just randomly place blocks around they dont want to place, and also how would you pick which block you want to place?
It’s not possible in vanilla Minecraft of course, so it’s not possible on Hive. I doubt Hive can code something like that into the game without taking some measures.
that’s a really long time, dude. by then the hive might not be around; I’ll be in my twenties.
I really don’t see a reason to add this though, as having this lack of ability adds to the strategy element of the game. Hive would also have to completely remake Minecraft’s movement controls if they were to do this
Yes they will achieve it. Mojang programmers are slow, but very smart; They will find a way to achieve it when they put their minds to it. As for whether I will be here in 6 or 7 years, I will tell you what a wise man once told me: “NO ONE is eternal.”
I feel like this is better suited to be a suggestion on the official Minecraft suggestions website than on Hive. Plus, this could screw up the gameplay and controls in ways we don’t know about right now.
