To have a menu of allowing/denying gifts in the gift box
When grinding for levels, or on the leaderboard having a high score or leaderboard place sticks out as you haven’t bought hive plus unlike everyone else, not having a green name etc. I’d prefer to keep myself as not having hive plus just to keep that little uniqueness
I also support hive by buying costumes and the replay rank(s)
I don’t see the point of denying a gift. You get a gift to be happy not say no to a gift :/. Yes, you may lose a win streak on non hive plus (or be level 100 non-hive plus) but that is a very rare condition.
The Hive could add something similar in their “/toggles” menu, every time a player tries to send a gift to somebody that has receiving gifts toggled off it simply just doesn’t go through. That way a menu for accepting or denying gifts doesn’t interfere in games.
With Hive Plus, you can get boosters in games making it easier to get xp. They wanted to max all of Hive without those boosters so it would be a bigger achievement.
Wanted to bump this post as it came up when someone asked about when it will be added.
I assume that we are not talking about just Hive+, but also other gifts? (Even though it feels like there isn’t any reason to not want a costume or mount)
This just seems like a case of “Why not?” There’s literally no major downsides and I doubt that there will be mob against it.
Some people might feel like it’s unnecessary but not all feel that. Another downside is that it might take some time to implement it but that’s for every feature/suggestion. If you don’t want something or feel some guilt with a gift, there should be an option to decline.
I remember watching an EvidentP stream and people would gift him costumes and such, but as being a Partner Rank, he already had those unlocked. So for those who spent 1500 QP or 310 minecoins got absolutely wasted.
Adding this feature would create many advantages and no disadvantages for the playerbase.
I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t be able to refund your item once it’s been bought, but still having the option to regift it to someone who wants it would be good
