Ability To Block Forum Members

Do you not like a forum member? Well, with this non-duplicate post which I know it isn’t because I looked it up you can! To block someone, you would go to the profile of said forumer and there would be a block button which you can click. Click it and that person is blocked. Blocked people cannot view your posts, comment on them, or message you. In other words, they can’t interact with you at all. The only people who cannot be blocked are the bot, helpers, mods, and higher staff members like Lewis. This should also help prevent conflict on forums and parts of comment sections dedicated to people arguing back and forth!

This already exists probably why its not a dupe , go to the persons profile, and in the top right (on pc) there is a button that says normal. Click on it and you will see 2 options, muted and ignored, the latter of which acting as a block button. I also cant help but feel as if this is targeted at someone

Hey there

This is out of our control as we use Discourse for our forums.

You can mute or ignore forum users by clicking on their profile but you cannot block forumers from interacting with your posts (as this would ruin the point of the suggestions category for example, if you could just block anyone not having the same opinion as you etc.).

If you mute or ignore a user, you will not receive any notifications for the user muted/ignored and all of their topics and replies will be hidden (ignored only).

If you still have further questions, you can privately message me or any other Helper / Moderator. :blobheart:
