A Possible Alternative

I was thinking about the closure of Hive Java and it got me thinking. The years of the Java server brought a lot of memories, and it made a lot of people sad that it closed, so I have an alternative. Its called GeyserMC. Its not perfect, but it works. Its a plugin that bridges Java and Bedrock edition servers, allowing both platforms to play on the same server. It can help create more of the amazing memories and can bring back the portion of Java Hive players that dont want to make the swap to bedrock, like myself. Here’s the link if you are interested: https://geysermc.org/

I’d really love to at least see this tested, just to see if it could work.

Hey there!
Welcome to the forums!

This would make it realy unfair for the java side since bedrock has jump bridging. And the website says its for Bedrock joining java not the other way around.

You have my vote but, how about the PVP and bridging mechanics of bedrock?

Also welcome to the forums! Here have a bacon🥓

If the current servers were swapped to Java and the Geyser plugin was used with the same IP, that wouldn’t matter

I don’t think the hive will be doing this.

I think both platforms have their own advantages, Java has blockhitting, Bedrock has jump bridging.

Also thanks for the bacon!

It was just a suggestion

Hey mate, it dosen’t count as double posting if you’re replying individually to people

Ik, and im giving you my opinion about it.

Ah, I didn’t know that. Thanks!

That’s a illegal website right?
To be able to play both versions by just one…

Yeah definitely seems illegal

I believe you have to own java to connect to a server using it, but it isn’t officially supported so I doubt the hive would be able to be featured while using it.
