A Game mode based on Survival/Vanilla Minecraft

Idea

As the community isn’t all big fans of PVP, I believe that adding a survival game mode could either; Bring back old players who didn’t like the server being based on PVP, or new players who strive towards finding a server with SMP like aspects.

More information:

As the Hive has taken very popular game modes from across the years and put its own spin on things with its very unique features, an SMP based game mode would be perfect to implement little things to make it fun for all.

Some ideas of mine:

  • Custom Structures: To find more loot or, to just add a cool aspect to the base game. Whenever I play modded Minecraft, it always feels so rewarding when I’ve found something I had never seen before, and its even better when you explore them!

  • Custom Items: Being able to make items never seen before would add a drive to many people’s minds to grind for loot to either make them look cool or become stronger against mobs

Conclusion
Seeing as a lot of the fanbase of Minecraft loves the base game, I do believe that the Hive could implement a game mode that takes a spin on the base game with Custom items, crafts and buildings.

but yeah hive probably won’t add it, since hive is a minigame server and this is like survival with a twist.

this suggestion is soo gud, playing skywar or treasure war, bored because play that game for long time, if game mode survival added, thank you hive

While this could help the Hive get a wider audience there are quite a few possible/ likely problems which would occur.

The first one is that griefing would become a major problem with people likely ruining most of the centeral building lava cast walls and things built which aren’t family friendly. Which would lead to a lot of moderation which wouldn’t be possible and would just be a struggle.

I suspect that a smp style server wouldn’t be achievable on such a large scale and would likely be more of an anarchy server.

That is fair enough and i do understand that it could be a problem, but i do think they could add a gamemode with a more grind for loot aspect. It does not mean just survival. But ty for replying :smiley:

Yes, I like the idea of having something that might be long term when you can get custom and normal enchants such as Hypixel skyblock. Who knows what new games might be planned for the Hive

Maybe they can add their own version of SkyBlock… but with a twist. Maybe “Planets” where each planet is its own island? But that does sound more like something Galaxite might do…
