Look, think basic here:
U spawn in the game, get ur island stuff, go mid, fight one guy, get good gear and fight the rest. This is usually how an usual game of skywars goes. You are likely to have a sharp 2 iron sword, full diamond and some books. And chances are, all of your enemies except that one idiot also has the same gear. What is skywars now? It is now a free for all arena. No variety, the biggest difference between you and the opponent are probably the magic books. Also when people go mid, you usually do not fight. You pick up a midchest or two, fight a guy if there is one and leave. Is that the same way in other servers? Lets look at hypixel; When people are done looting, they go mid and they fight for the midchests and usually the center of the map is basically chaos with people fighting. In hive, its way more boring and slow, people do not fight for midchests, the fast people loot some and fight. You do not fight for anything, you fight simply because you have to. Letâs look at ranked skywars; People fight for the diamonds and enchanting items at the mid. Now you might be saying: Well people fight for midchests and those exist in hive too. But do people really have to fight for midchests in mid? You are very likely to get top gear in the mini islands around the mid, you do not need to fight for the good loot and the mid looter is not stronger than the island looter. In most other skywarsâ, the midloot is extremely strong and usually the mid looter wins a fight against someone who does not have midloot. Now for the solutions:
-Give the mystery chest better items so people care about it.
-Give midchests better loot than diamond ores.
-Some new exclusive mid item that is very limited that people fight for.
What could that ânew exclusive mid itemâ could be? here is an idea;
Enchant stone - Right it with your enchanted item to give it an extra level. Example; right clicking a sharp 2 iron sword will make it sharpness 3, using it with an unenchanted armor piece will make it protection 1. You can not use the same item twice or more, even if its a different one. you can not use 2 diamond swords. This disappears after 30 seconds after spawning so people rush it and fight.
There could of course be more stuff, like something tha gives you permanent buffs. Anything basically that can attract people unlike the mystery chest.
