Idea: Add a /report (player name) feature.
With a /report feature players can report rule breakers from inside the game, instead of goin to the discord which they might now even have access to.
More Info: reporting a player would notify staff that said player is breaking rules, staff can then observe the player and if the report is true they can ban the player.
Advantages:
- A more efficient way to report players, currently you need to make a report in the discord, which some people might not be in, also there are ALOT of reports, in my opinion there are to many for staff to deal with, leading to cross teamers and some other hackers goin left un affected.
- Staff would be able to asses the situation faster, I think this would deter hackers if they knew that anyone could call a mod and get them banned within minutes.
- This would be a good feature that could streamline the whole anti cheat program, of course an official anti cheat will be implemented some time but this is great for the time being.
Disadvantages:
- obviously there will always be trolls who will false report, this will always be a problem, there have been times that I have encounters people who I thought were hacking but after spectating it became less convincing that they were hacking, but still staff should respond to possible hackers to insure the best experience on the server.
- Last disadvantage is that there might not be enough staff to respond to these reports, this can be easily fixed by allowing helpers to temp ban, as well as increasing the size of the staff team.
