NEW RANK - DEVOTED (not actually a rank)

Idea: :nerd:
I present to you a new rank - DEVOTED. I know Hive said they don’t plan on adding new ranks, but this one isn’t an upgrade to Ultimate; it’s something entirely different. So please don’t close this thread and allow people to share their thoughts.

More information: :exclamation:
Many players want to feel special or appreciated, but I believe Hive+ and Hive Ultimate fail to provide that feeling, mainly because they’re not earned - anyone can buy them instantly the moment they join the server. That makes the ranks feel less unique.

:translations: My idea is to create one final rank for the most active Hive players, so they can be recognized by the community and actually feel appreciated. Some might say “just get a YT rank,” but not everyone is able to do that for various reasons.

:trophy: The DEVOTED rank wouldn’t necessarily give any perks (unless Hive decides to add some). Its purpose is simply to highlight the most dedicated members of the community.

:splodger: There would be a board in the hub where players can track their progress toward the DEVOTED rank. Personally, I think the requirements should be extremely hard so that the rank stays rare and unique. Still, I made two versions - a hard path and an easier path - so people can discuss which one makes more sense (only one will be added tho)

HARD EASY
Be in a monthly in leaderboard at the end of a month (only once, top 50) Same but top 100
Get 1 000 000 unmodified xp Get 250 000 unmodified xp
Play hive for at least 1,5 years Play hive for at least 6 months
Comlpete 250 quests (non-ticket) Complete 75 quests
Own at least 15 of unique cosmetics (from LTMs) Own at least 5 of unique cosmetics (from LTMs)
Get 10k wins Get 3k wins
Have 50 likes on Hive forums Have 10 likes on Hive forums
Have best log-in streak of atleast 120 days Have best log-in streak of atleast 30 days
Have 30k total kills Have 10k kills
Play at least 3 time-limited events Play at least 1 time-limted event

:cubee: VERSION 1: A Mark
In this version, if you meet the requirements listed above (Hive would decide whether it uses the hard or easy version), you would be able to claim the DEVOTED rank.

After claiming the rank, the only change would be a star or heart symbol next to your name in all game modes, hubs, and chat. This small mark would show that you are a truly devoted Hive player, and it would help you feel genuinely appreciated.

If you don’t log in for more than a month, you would lose your Devoted marker. After returning and maintaining a 10-day login streak, you would automatically earn it back.

(it can be a star instead)

 VERSION 2: Hive 3+
In this version, you would be able to upgrade your Ultimate rank once you meet the requirements listed above. After qualifying, you could “gift” the upgrade to yourself, and your U symbol would transform into a D.

This would show that you’re not just an Ultimate player - you’re a DEVOTED one.

Example:

I personally would like to see Version 1 implemented because it’s simple, not confusing, and doesn’t introduce a full new rank - just a bigger goal for active Hive players.

Also I’m aware that this idea is still raw and unpolished, so feel free to suggest anything you think should be added or improved. :innocent:

This is an interesting concept! Accepted idea would be so hard lol… but that’s what makes it special! :> For the log in streak, you’d have to have done a streak longer than 90 days? (But it doesn’t have to stay that way, you simply gain the symbol back after having a 10 day streak again?) I do like this idea, voted!

90 days once. 10 days if you lost ur devoted status

That doesn’t show devotion, it just shows that you have enough money to gift that much. Paying your way to first doesn’t show that you devoted.

Same here. It just pay to win basically.

This doesnt show devotion, because having an accepted idea is also partly luck.

Some people just dont have friends. Its not a skill issue, its just who they are so that doesnt show devotion either.

Thats it. I do still like the idea, but a few more changes would need to be made to earn my vote. But I can tell how much effort has been put into this, so good work!

Thank you for your feedback! I would be interested if you’d have some other ideas for those requirements. Beacuse I don’t want this to be too easy. Also you can earn each type of cosmetic usually from just one ticket, but there also are a lot of free cosmetics - mounts like the stool, hats and costumes for gamemodes. But I do kinda agree that this might be kinda pay to win, so I’m glad to hear your opinion!

365 days is more devoted, 3 months is nothing

Thats a really interesting concept! Although, like some people said, it has some quests that dont fit it entirely. I also like the cyan or orange Name colour. It rly looks like a ticket, so instead of buying and gifting stuff, you might just get the Ticket and do the challenges(like prestige, ect) then it would be like a sort of rank, but still earned. Also one challenge may be, to be at least level 20 in every gamemode(maybe 10 in the smaller ones) or compleating at least 3 hub hunts)

Edited:

Also, i prefer the easy quests variant , a lot cuz of the 3 prestige quest in the hard one. Getting even 1 prestige is very, very hard and takes a lot of time. Also, u might also find a secret room in the castle, as your final quest(mb after u got all the quests, the door behind the throne opens for u, and u do like a sort of “ final challenge” after that, you earn the rank.

(And also, if you already got like a prestige before getting the ticket, the quest should still be completed)

Another challenge: have at least 1000 total kills

(You might as well get a costume when u finish it, so you can have it quipped all the time)(for example King Cubee)

Having 1000 kills in what? Because if it’s all games combined, that’s really easy. Or is it 1000 kills per game?

I meant per game(in every game where its possible)

(Or like, 10 000 in all games combined)

Thank you for your feedback. I would personally go with 15k - 30k of total kills. Also guys if someone has something to add to my idea, then feel free to speak!

I think it shouldn’t be total kills, because you could just grind a ton of kills in one game (that’s what I would do )

I like a lot your idea, the hard requirements are good, but I would remove the friends one, having friends is not a skill issue, or many people by decision don’t want to have, so for me, I would remove that entirely.

Fair enough. My logic was that if you have a lot of friends then you’re kinda devoted to the community of Hive

50 friends is a lot though… I only have 26, and I’ve been on this account since 2021

I have around 40 friends. I used to have like 70 or 80, but I deleted those that I don’t actually know. But ngl It’s pretty easy to get friends, just ask ppl to add you

But your amount of friends isn’t based on how devoted you are. I don’t like going around friending just anybody.

Plus that could cause safety concerns.

I agreed on that before, what is the point of your comment? I’ll make more changes to the idea later, when more people said what they think. and I will be replacing the add freinds thing with kills

I totally agree with you. Also, VOTED!
