Hot Potato, Hot Potato, who has the Hot Potato? If you have the Hot Potato you are OUT!
Bomb Potato! - A Forums Suggestion.
The Brainstorming.
Ah, the classic Hot Potato! Brings back warm, fuzzy memories of the past. Why not incorporate it here, but with a twist? The twist, you ask? There is no twist. I was lying.
Bomb Potato is a version of Hot Potato that relies on your speed and wit. It’s not similar to the actual version of Hot Potato, but it’s pretty similar.
The Roles.
- The Hunter: Carries around the potato. If potato isn’t passed to another player, they are eliminated. The Hunter is unable to collect power-ups except for the Stun Ray. They are able to throw their potato like a projectile, but if they miss, they have to grab their potato after it’s thrown.
- The Survivor: Tries to avoid the potato. If they collect the potato, then they turn into the Hunter (shocker). They can collect any power-up on the map.
Once again, whoever’s the last one standing wins.
The Functionality.
Players spawn on different platforms, preferably nine platforms, connected by bridges. One person is randomly selected as the Potato Person, and has to tag someone else in under 30 seconds.
- If they tag someone else, they turn invincible for 5 seconds.
- If they don’t tag someone else, they are out of the game, leaving an explosive sound.
After 1.5-2 minutes, one random platform explodes, leaving 1 less platform to run on. This keeps going until 1 player remains.
There are 8 different power-ups, both unique and regular.
- Blindness Splash Potion (5 seconds).
- Slowness Splash Potion (5 seconds).
- Jump Boost Splash Potion (5 seconds).
- Speed Boost Splash Potion (5 seconds).
- Stun Ray (2 seconds).
- Stun Trap (2.5-3 seconds).
- Leap (self-explanatory).
- Invincibility (5 seconds).
Basically, it’s that Roblox game, but with actual stakes.
The Model.
I don’t build. I model. Also, I’ve never felt more lazy to copy from a crafting table in my life. This is literally 9 different coloured squares. The only not-so-lazy thing I did was the potato, even though I copied the original potato model. All I did was add a red tint.
The XP Chart.
Since Mob Game has 10 levels, I thought that Bomb Potato should have the same. This will change in the future, so you don’t have to worry about not getting your cosmetic idea onto here!
Another thing: The indents weren’t working, so most levels have two different rows instead of one row with two items.
