Yes! This happened to me too. I wouldn’t be able to find the replay though because I played so many games after it

this time i got a new bow from the chest at castle town and the kill did not count again 
This challenge is much harder than killing the murderer, so why is that one only once? Either this should be one as well, or the murderer one should be 15 as well but it is significantly easier so Sole Survivor should be lowered regardless

I had this occur too, sadly it has been too long ago to figure out which replay it were.
That’s fine, we’ve figured out the issue and have it logged, a fix should be deployed soon!

We have made the challenge only require you to be the last innocent or sheriff standing, you no longer need to win. Additionally, the bug that sometimes prevented challenge progress from being awarded has been fixed.
