Mineplex had Dragon Escape in their Mixed Arcade before they changed their Hub. After the recent Hub update, the Mixed Arcade and all of the games it had were removed. So, your point that Dragon Escape hasn’t been ported to their Bedrock server doesn’t make sense. It was there, but they removed it. Also, don’t expect The Hive to blatantly steal this game from Mineplex just because it was removed from their Bedrock server. The Hive shares similar concepts with many other servers, but they implement these concepts in unique ways that aren’t done in other servers. Your idea for Dragon Escape is identical to the way Mineplex implemented it on their server, which is not how The Hive likes to implement mini games. The Hive has BedWars on their Java server, yes, but they didn’t just take everything from Hypixel and call it a game of their own. Instead, they made changes to make it play differently from Hypixel BedWars. The Hive cares about being unique and different from other servers.
Plus, blatantly stealing this game from Mineplex will make many players angry and probably ruin the reputation of the server.
You do realize that if a game can not be played on any bedrock server right now, it does not matter if it existed in the past. I never said the idea was original, why do think I called it a “Legacy Idea” it is a old game far past it’s prime, games like that can always draw new fans. Some people like sonic racing games more than Mario kart, even if those games are not original. You can use a game as a base and expand off of it. The game boils down to a dragon chasing you and you running through a parkour course to stay alive. You can make special short cuts or abilities. Once again, Murder Mystery is not original in the slightest. Yet it did not ruin the server’s reputation. Truth is, most people care more about how fun a game is then it’s originality. Anymore questions?
Hive is a business, what would you think if one company went out if business, and one across the street copied what they were known for, without even recognizing the other business? You would probably think “Oh, they have to copy to stay in business, probably nothing good there.”. What would you think if you were a new player? I get that mineplex is not out of business, but they should get to use their own ideas, not their biggest competitor. It might be legally okay, but it is no where near morally right to do this.
So you are implying that it is okay to blatantly steal a game from another server just because they removed it? Mineplex blatantly copied Hypixel at one point and look at where their server is now.
