I’m not a helper, but I was just thinking, helpers should get at least one command. Something like /calladmin. It could be a mini-mod tool that calls an admin over to your server if you see a hacker. Because Hive is the largest mcbe server and there are many hackers. Also, just curious, what is the helper tag? I’ve never even seen a helper before.

Hive has been notoriously secretive on how their moderation actually operates, but Helpers are explicitly stated not to be a moderation role. I’d think they have their own ways to contact admins already, and it’s probably best to leave Helper/Admin role improvements to them as they probably know their own roles the best.

I think a /report command for regular players would be better as it gives more specific reasons and alerts the appropriate people know who and what.

Hmm yes but it’s only if they see a hacker. Not like actually moderating the server, just if they come across one, because helpers would be trusted enough to know not to mess around with the command. And by doing that they are a helper because they are helping the admins, and not just leaving the hacker there.
They very likely already have a way to contact admins, it wouldn’t make sense as a team to not have an efficient way for everyone to communicate. Whether this is a Slack workspace, discord server, or whatever is something they probably won’t disclose but I find it absurd to assume helpers have no way of pinging an admin to get on if they see something.
Additionally, I don’t think non-helpers should be commenting on what to add to the role. We don’t really know what permissions it has, if any, and frankly if they probably have a much better sense of what their role means and requires.

He has exoierence being a Helper. He was staff on Lifeboat at one point.

That’s a fair point, though that doesn’t necessarily make either of us qualified to weigh in on Hive’s system. I’d like to hear an actual Hive helper’s opinion on this. For now though, I suppose we just have to agree to disagree here.

While this is an interesting suggestion, helpers have direct communications with the admin team. If a helper requires the assistance of an admin, they can simply shoot us a message

I mean, I do like the idea of helpers having /kick. Sometimes mostly admins are busy doing stuff imo and theres no one to help.
