These two categories are nothing similar at all, with one being for usually fun discussion, and the other being everything everyone(except for people who want regular) wants to mute.
The pros of this are 1. muting only forum games is possible now without having to mute some new unoriginal one every 2 minutes, and 2. likes and posts can (possibly) be not counted towards overall in forum games.
Just look at all the top members, they have like 70% of their posts in off topic.
