they remove crit hit as the particles will decrease the fps
crits are a thing because i get crit particles on cubecraft

I can’t really say why we never had them originally or removed them, but the particle thing is a likely factor. Consider also that crits will be harder/easier on certain devices, giving some players an advantage over others. It’s quite unlikely we would add crits for both of those reasons.

Is it only visual, or does the damage of criticals also not apply? E.g. when I jump and hit someone as I fall (a critical), do I still do 1.5x damage but the particles simply don’t appear?
critical damage is not applied on the hive

If I remember it was mobile players not being able to jump and hit at the same time.
They can but it’s trickier to do so that kind of makes it unfair
