When it comes to map making, there’s just Team Nectar, The Hive’s map making team. Nobody can submit maps without being a part of Team Nectar. I just think that there should be some way to allow players to express their creativity for map making without having to be a part of the map making team. This would not only help The Hive push out more new maps, but it would get more people to get into team nectar, without having to make the commitment of signing up before even being able to try it out.
I mean, I think there’s copyright issues with allowing community maps

I mean, if a community member submits a map, they are giving The Hive permission to use it. Team Nectar usually puts a sign in a place where the player can see it’s a Team Nectar Creation, so I think community submitters could do it too. If not, The Hive could just make a list of maps and their authors someplace else, maybe under the map title?

One of the main reasons its limited to team nectar is that you get to work with a lot of experienced builders and its a team effort in building a map for hive or youtubers in general. If anyone could make a map it might not be unique or it might be a concept that already exists or it might just disappoint the creator if his/her map doesnt get accepted which is something to avoid.
Secondly you get paid for the maps that you make and paying anyone that makes map wont be helpful
but yeah i do agree that there should be a way to show your creativity in the community.

I think assessing the quality of the maps submitted would be a lot of work, and it would probably just be better if Team Nectar spent more time building maps themselves. If someone is a really good map maker they could just apply for the team right?
