Add Back The Diamond Chestplate

I honestly prefer 16 diamonds, which is how it is currently.

And so the argument comes full circle. I’ve already rebutted that at the very start, and it’s 1am so ima sleep maybe

I think that’s alright, I used it the other day and had no issue, but I think some special items should cost diamonds.

Fair enough, although I still don’t understand why raising the price of diamond armor wouldn’t fix any balancing issues. But, it’s also 3 AM so I should probably go to sleep.

dont know if someone said this before, but the high price + huge strength gap between diamond and iron basically means only one person in the game can get diamond armour and no one can rival or come close to them

imagine sharp 5 netherite in the game. should it be 40 emeralds or the strength should be nerfed? buffing the price or making the item harder to get doesn’t make it any less op. it’s still a sharp 5 netherite sword

actually with the 20 emeralds price every player in a match can get diamond armor, also enchanted iron armor would let players have a chance to fight diamond armor.

scenarios like where the diamond armour player defends and hogs all the emeralds exist man

even if there’s enchants, have you considered the diamond player enchanting?

you really got to think of everything possible that can happen

notice I didn’t say diamond armor should get enchants? I didn’t even have to think about that, it unbalances the game, only iron and chain can get enchants and chain get’s more than iron.

What’s the difference between buffing iron/chain, and nerfing diamond? Don’t they both have the same effect of lowering the effectiveness of diamond armour relative to the other armours in the game.

I think being able to buff iron and chain is better.

But why, does having full diamond give you guys a confidence boost or something lol

without the chest plate it no longer feels like treasure wars.

the problem with dia is just that if you control mid, you got too much of an advantage. nothing more nothing less. by reducing it a little, you may be defeated more easily against duos fighting you togethers. but would still easily prevail in 1v1.

not much else to say atm. thanks for the wonderful thoughts and i hope i added a bit to the converse

if there’s something thats cheaper and some what rivals diamond armour…then whats the point of getting diamond armour…

who says so? lol?

The thing is, this system is a better compromise than the 30 ems price. With 30 ems, dia armor was pretty much removed. Now, you can still get it, albeit a little weaker. Dia armor was fine before, but the hive needs to make a compromise of some kind

I mean, without it though, mid control is almost useless & there’s no reason not to just avoid it entirely, even if you’re bad at pvp

hmmmm. well dia armour is sweet, just too sweet and bitter when they have it. as i ever just tpk a team w ful chain w mixed stone/iron swords. and vice versa. they werent bad at pvp, able to return 50-80% of my hits per person.

I mean, they chose not to go to mid or didn’t send enough people there/got out pvped, so it’s still their fault if you get dia armor. But I think the current nerf is a good compromise

Also, they did raise the diamond armor to 30 and a lot of people were mad, personally idc I’m more of a skywars guy so I will go with anything.

first of all, it’s only so people get a fighting chance, second just because you don’t doesn’t mean no one holds those views.
