Suggestion: Add a Smart Kick System for High Jitter and Unstable Ping
Players with extremely unstable connections (either very high ping or rapidly changing ping — known as jitter) often end up ruining PvP fights in games like SkyWars, Bedwars, and Survival Games. They sometimes teleport, rubberband, or delay hits, making fights feel unfair or unpredictable.
In many cases, these players don’t get removed until the anti-cheat eventually bans them, even if they weren’t cheating. And on the flip side, some hacked clients abuse fake lag to mimic this behavior and avoid detection.
A better approach would be a fair kicking system that removes players with constantly unstable ping before they ruin multiple matches or trigger the anti-cheat incorrectly.
The system could:
- Monitor ping over a short period (e.g. 15 seconds)
- Allow minor lag spikes (which happen to everyone)
- Only kick if the player’s ping is spiking heavily or staying too high for too long
- Kick them from the game only, not ban them from the server
This would also help make it harder for hacked clients that abuse fake lag to dominate games. Some servers, like Divinity, already use similar systems and it works well.
Adding this would improve match fairness without punishing players for occasional lag, and reduce the load on the anti-cheat system.
